NDIS Development of Daily Living & Life Skills in Melbourne South East, Darwin and the NT Regions

Building Confidence and Independence, One Skill at a Time

At Your Life, Your Choice Care Services, everyone deserves the opportunity to learn essential life skills, make informed choices, and fully participate in daily life.

Our Development of Daily Living & Life Skills support helps NDIS participants build the confidence and ability to manage everyday tasks, routines, and challenges — at home, in the community, or during key life transitions.

This support is about building capacity, not just getting help. Whether you’re a young adult preparing to live independently, someone learning to manage your schedule, or rebuilding confidence after a life change, we’re here to walk beside you.

What Is Development of Daily Living & Life Skills?

This NDIS support focuses on helping participants enhance their ability to perform everyday activities through practical learning, coaching, and guidance.

It covers both:

Frequently Asked Questions

Daily Living & Life Skills

  • What’s the difference between this and household support?

This service focuses on teaching and building skills so you can eventually manage on your own. Household support is more about completing tasks for or with you.

  • Can this support happen outside the home?

Yes! We often practise skills in real environments, such as shops, public transport, libraries, or community centres, wherever you need support most.

  • Do you help young adults transition into independent living?

Yes. We support life stage transitions, including moving from school to work or from home to independent accommodation.

  • Can I choose what life skills I want to learn?

Absolutely. Your NDIS goals and personal interests shape your individual learning plan.
